Okay, say it! I fell into the hype. I admit it. In all honesty, I knew I was going to when I started hearing tales of “Mommy porn” and how explicitly graphic it was. So, finally, I got my hands on it to see what all the fuss was about. Well, I must say that the escapades of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steel are fifty shades of worth the read.
Synopsis: When Literature student Anastasia Steele Goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants the man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her too–but only on his own terms.
Shocked yet thrilled by Grey’s singular erotic tastes, Ana hesitates. For all the trappings of success–his multinational businesses, his vast wealth, his loving family–grey is a man tormented by demons and consumed by the need to control. When the couple embarks on a daring, passionately physical affair, Ana discovers Christian Grey’s secrets and explores her own dark desires.
After reading the title cover to cover, I found “mommy porn” to be a strong label for the novel. While the love scenes are vivid, I wouldn’t day that they were hair-graying. That being said, I did really enjoy the book. I would recommend it to a friend that’s a big fan of romance. As a matter of fact, my best friend did say that she would start reading it, and I can’t wait to see what she says. For ladies that are a little curious about he BDSM lifestyle, I think this Fifty Shades of Grey is worth cracking open (spark a fantasy..or 50).
